There is this cliche....that people are separated by 6 degrees....meaning...the idea that everyone is on average six steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person on earth...so with this particular blog...we want to see if this really works....do us a favor as you read this and let's  see if it is true...we at Dreams Take a Minute Productions, know that our project is six degrees away from being shot and in the can....our question to you as a friend of ours....who in your six degrees of friends and professional network do you know who is looking for our great PHI'LA THE MUSICAL product? Ok....so now you are in debt...and you're trying to figure out how to pay down those credit cards that Santa Claus ran up...kids are happy and so is your significant other....and you have those 2012 New Year resolutions posted up in the kitchen...and that loosing weight thing is going alright...but you did slip on Sunday with that big dinner...what do you do? and what does it mean? Let us look at 2012 with an opportunity....to do things for others and to be selfless, not selfish....it takes effort and drive and there is nothing like seeing a smile on someone's face from something you did and them not knowing you were the one who did it. This is our goal at Dreams Take a Minute Productions....selfless empathetic personal opportunities for an audience who desire this type of film entertainment...we are going to show the masses what they need before they realize they needed it.....proactive entertainment...don't wait for someone to ask for something they need....be selfless and empathetic and figure out the personal opportunity or connection you can provide for that person before they know they even need it....call a friend to say "Hi" (don't send them a text, so not personal) invite them to have a coffee and talk...something that shows your selfless side....which leads to question in this blog...."WHAT YOU GONNA DO HAMMER?" for all my (MC Hammer fans).....PHI'LA THE MUSICAL 2012 PRODUCTION!!!!

The Holiday season is in full force and upon us...with all the shopping...debt goers...of which nobody reading this is guilty of....are rummaging the malls....stealing parking spots...and trying to figure out what to get Aunt Peggy...STOP AND LOOK.....but....
let's not be cliche about the holidays and say, "take time out to be with your family...reflect on the reason for the season"....and all the other holiday mumbo jumbo...really take time out and figure out how you can take a vested interest in and personal responsibility in yourself and making your circle better....now you might say that was  cliche, of which it may be...but it validates the cliche's and mantra's we live by and how not taking a personal responsibility keeps us only on the surface...dig deeper and figure out who you really are and the second chances you were given....stop navel gazing and look at what is going on around you and just DO SOMETHING!!! Overwhelming as it may be when you look at other people's issues only to see that what you are going through is not all that bad!!!! Be GRATEFUL!!!! How's that for a cliche?? Enjoy your Holiday season and your family and 2012 is going to be a great time for PHI'LA THE MUSICAL!!!! REMEMBER YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!!

Usually when you say "aftermath" it has a negative connotation....but there is a positive definition which is associated with this terminology and it is..."aftermath-a second growth or crop in season" and this is exactly fit for PHI'LA The Musical....we are second growth in season...Our trailer Premiere was AWESOME!!! If you have not seen the trailer you can go to our home page and check it out....but what I can tell you is this.......our project is going to go 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds and when you are on the God train there is nothing or person that can stop what God has ordained!!! And to be perfectly clear and honest...when you are doing something for the "righteous" reasons and looking to give back in a certain way, projects take their own momentum and speed...and this has been the "aftermath" of planting and continually watering of seeds..God is the only one that makes the plant grow...our job is continually taking care of it!!!! You reading this....you might want to get on the PHI'LA THE MUSICAL TRAIN WHILE IT IS STILL AT THE TRAIN STATION....once this train leaves you are gonna regret not getting on!!!!

The next level for PHI'LA THE MUSICAL....THE URBAN HIP HOP "WEST SIDE STORY".... is fast approaching. Success is not in the hard work, but in making a habit of doing the things that no one else wants to do. The time of harvest is upon everyone! What you do with this time to reap is dependent upon what you have sown....Ask yourself an important question. Did you sow generously? Or were you not concerned with how you interact and deal with people? Dreams Take a Minute Productions (DTMP) is looking to gather a BIG Harvest this fall with our musical project and expect miracles to happen this year and next year!!! Building relationship and cultivating them is important for success...the new saying..."TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAMWORK" and there definitely is a team behind this project not just for the movie theatre's but for teenage children who need a voice and let the world know their struggles. We want to be that voice. Over the summer DTMP had the fortunate opportunity to work with some great undiscovered talent and shoot a magnificent "sizzler trailer" for our musical feature. The two days of filming were filled with trials and excitement. A lot was learned, but the best part about the filming was working with friends and great people who were committed to a project more than just a film, but a project that has holistic meaning for all people. Did we have our setbacks?.....Sure did!!! Did we have great victories?....Sure did....I even lost my iPod in the process (note to self...I need to get a new one)...but nevertheless the two days of filming was filled with fun, laughter and family!!!! NEWS FLASH!!!!.....NEWS FLASH!!! When something is done FAITHFULLY....there is nothing that can stop it. Dreams Take a Minute Productions is having and open call dance audition for the PHI'LA THE MUSICAL Movie trailer JULY 15, 16, 17 and God is really taking off with this and moving it in HIS direction. For anyone reading this and struggling with their faith.... should know that God is always doing something behind the scenes and really working even though we don't think so. I ran into someone at "The Blade" barbershop (product placement) the place where I get my hair cut. And this mother of two was reading a book where the cover looked interesting. The book "PRODUCED BY FAITH" BY DEVON FRANKLIN (....more product placement) is an AWESOME BOOK!!!! Anyone dealing with God Almighty in their life really should pick up this book and read it immediately.....it's always good to read something (I'm an avid reader) that affirms what you know and what you are doing that continues to inspire and affirm you are doing things God's way. Well that's what we are doing over here at Dreams and God is really taking it to a level we can and cannot imagine. TRY IT!!! You might love what God has in store for you!!!!!!

PHI'LA is moving in the God direction....notice I didn't say RIGHT direction. When something is ordained by the Man upstairs there is nothing that can change that course. So far this journey has been about all that we can learn and all that we can grow from. There are peaks and valleys with a journey that God has you on and moving in His direction is the best direction, but it does not feel like it all the time. The PHI'LA project is moving and things are positive we are shooting a trailer for the film the weekend of July 15,16,17. Locations are scouted, production needs are almost met and auditions are planned. The only thing left is for us is to.... DO IT!!! I think our company "Dreams Take a Minute" is proper for who we are and what we are accomplishing, because according to us Dreams do take a minute, but to God they happen right on time. So what can be learned from this?....Go in God's direction and the right direction won't even matter because His direction is the best direction no matter where you are in your life!!! You can take that to the BANK!!!

Haven't blogged in a while because there has been a lot going on in public education...in case you haven't heard public education is "ERON"  waiting to happen with children's lives and if "we" don't do anything about this, then it is going to be an educational mess...this is one of those professions you must love, in order to be a part of this. It takes a special kind of person to be in the classroom with hyper, emotional unstable teenagers....BUT I MUST SAY THAT I LOVE IT!!! It is always encouraging to see your students blossom after life serves them a hefty dose of unfairness and reality. Thus the continue motivation for our project and really doing all that we can to get the message to a mass of people in this country and world, who are disconnected from this reality. I hope that my messages resonate and challenge all of us reading them to do something....my prayer is that you read this and then forward this to a friend who forwards this to a friend so that our message crying out from the halls of schools in this country are heard around the world!!!! Issues in public education need your help...everyone cannot afford private school and not all parents have the ability to homeschool their children....so where will they go and what will they do!!!
